This trip started out in a blizzard and ended up ending in the high 70's. The first night was suppose to be at the trail head but nobody wanted to set up in the snow then start into the canyon in wet gear so we spent the night in Blanding in a Hotel. Enough said...We entered at Sheiks Canyon after listening to the Ranger saying we shouldn't unless we were experts... I guess were experts because it wasn't to bad. I would do it again. It snowed off and on all day the first day, but nothing stuck it was actually really picturesque. The first camp was in the mouth of Greenhouse Canyon (by accident, we just didn't want to go on any more) where we were planning on camping. The second day we went to dripping canyon after a false start up Greenhouse Canyon. Maybe we're not experts... We did discovered our mistake before we got to the top... The third day we traveled to Polley's Island where we ran into a herd of Lamas and about a million people. Well not a million, but too many for my comfort. We decided to leave the canyon early, camp at the trail head, and play on the way home.
On the drive home we stopped at News Paper Rock, Dead Horse Point, and got Mexican food in Moab.
